Prof. Margaret Owuor and I myself will be proudly representing Wyss Academy at the 11th International Association for Landscape Ecology (IALE) World Congress on 'Transboundary Resource Management, Climate Change and Environmental Resilience' in Nairobi, Kenya, from 10-15 July.

Together with our partners, we organize a Panel Discussion on Translating the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) into local practices: Transformative biodiversity conservation governance in Africa. Our goal with this event is to set the groundwork for further discussion on addressing governance issues of #biodiversityconservation on the ground to achieving the GBF targets, especially the 30 by 30 ambitious target, across #Africa.

It was also the first time, we have launched the project that I am leading on Governance Capacity for Translating Effectively the Global Biodiversity Framework to Different Local Practices in Africa and Southeast Asia (2022-2025).
